Today’s kids have the advantage of using numerous training videos and DVDs, for Little League baseball drills as well as batting sticks, pitching nets, practice balls, tees, pitching machines and more. However, all of these training aids help build muscle memory and increase response times, but they can not take the place of good physical conditioning. Working together with these great skill building aids, most coaches insist on a program of regular conditioning exercises as well. A strong player is capable of outperforming and outrunning players who skip this vital step in the training process.
Of course, working with young children on Little League baseball drills requires an understanding that they are not capable of extremely long or grueling workouts; however, realistic baseball training workouts can be established for children, regardless of their age. Not only will a good workout schedule make better players, these kids will be in better physical condition which leaves them healthier, more active and generally feeling better in their day-to-day lives. Have fun training your little player and remember investing in you child is the best gift you can give them. ENJOY!!!
