Protective eyewear

baseball-sunglasses.jpg

Protective eyewear is one of the most essential baseball accessories to equip yourself with. Namely this refers to a pair of sunglasses, which help shield your eyes from the glare of the sun so you can keep eye contact with the ball without damaging your eyes. Especially if you are playing in the outfield, spending all that time staring into the sun can be excruciating on your delicate eyes.  Protective eyewear/eyeglasses instantly enhance your performance in the sport and prevent you from making a mistake by fault of the brightness of the sun glaring into your eyes.

Baseball batting gloves

When you are involved with a sport like baseball, you do not only want to feel like a pro when you play the game, you want to look like one. This not only helps to boost your confidence and make other people take you more seriously, but also improves your game and allows you to play at your maximum ability. There are a few baseball accessories in particular which are worth at least considering, if you want to make the most of yourself as a baseball player and improving your playing status.  By equipping yourself with the proper baseball accessories, such as a baseball arm sleeve, protective eyewear, baseball batting gloves and other accessories, you raise your level of play and stay looking like a professional on and off the field.  With baseball batting gloves, you make a big improvement in your level of play. When you are up to bat, you always feel a bit of nervousness and anxiety waiting for the pitch and hoping to hit a big home run.

Warmup Jackets

cuban-baseball-team-unbeaten-in-warm-up-2009-03-04.jpg

As I prepare (with my 11 year old) for his first travel baseball tournament of the season this weekend, I experience the excitement in his heart.  I watch him pack his new uniform with his last name and number on both sides of the jersey, the new warm-up jackets by Akadema (very sharp I must add) and I see his eyes light up, as he anticipated the first pitch of the season.   These warm up jackets are a nice addition to any uniform, they consist of team logo on the front as well as each individual number on the right sleeve.  No name because baseball is about the team and not one individual player.  They really tie the entire uniform together and when the boys are on the field pre-game warm up they really look like professionals.  It's a joy to witness.   Like I always say if you want to play like a professional you have to first start with appearance.  If you do not represent yourself as a ball player than you will not be respected as well regardless of any age group.  Actually it starts early on in youth baseball.  It's up to us as parents, coaches/leaders to teach this and lead by example.  Play the part and dress as a ball player and represent you team /town proudly on the field, I guarantee you will impress the opponent and have them talking long after the final out.

Baseball Training Workouts

z4OkR.SlMa.81.jpg

As we approach closer to "Opening Day" the excitement of mastering the baseball training workouts in preparation for that first pitch, the smell of spring in the air as the anticipating awaits.

Today’s kids have the advantage of using numerous training videos and DVDs, as well as batting sticks, pitching nets, practice balls, tees, pitching machines and more. However, all of these training aids combined with baseball training workouts help build muscle memory and increase response times, but they can not take the place of good physical conditioning. Working together with these great skill building aids, most coaches insist on a program of regular conditioning exercises as well. A strong player is capable of outperforming and outrunning players who skip this vital step in the training process.

Not only do these workouts build confidence and develop team unity they also make better players, these kids will be in better physical condition which leaves them healthier, more active and generally feeling better in their day-to-day lives.

Train hard so you too can be a better all-around player.

baseball bats

It is just two weeks until pitchers and catchers return to their Spring Training sites for the 2012 baseball season.  The Boys of Summer will begin another campaign in less than two months.  The cheers in ballparks across America with parents and families will resonate through the nighttime.  For the amateur baseball players and little leaguers across the country it is time to buy equipment and get ready to play ball.  That means finding baseball bats for sale and preparing them for the season ahead.

Whether a player prefers the traditional wooden bat, used in professional baseball, or the newer aluminum bats favored in college sports, finding baseball bats for sale in the correct length and weight takes some research.  Many companies manufacture baseball bats.  The most famous Louisville Sluggers continue to be manufactured by the same company that has been turning wooden bats since 1884.  Although sluggers are the most famous, and used by every major league ballplayer, they are not the only wooden bat available.   Several other manufacturers produce high quality wooden bats.

Anyone looking for baseball bats for sale has several choices.  Baseball bats can be purchased on line.  Wide varieties of websites and on line stores have bats that can be viewed and purchased through a virtual store.  Purchasing a bat this way makes it easier - place an order and the bat is delivered to your doorstep.  Coaches and team officials can place a bulk order for bats and have the shipment arrive at the practice facility or filed in a few days.

For many sports enthusiasts though the purchase of a baseball bat is an annual ritual.  Going to a sporting goods store and trying out the bats, testing the length and the weight, taking some practice swings and getting the feel of the bat is important.  From local sports shops to the big box chain sporting goods retailers’ baseball bats for sale sit in circular racks and await kids of all ages who want to take the bat for a test run before giving the ball a ride over the fence.

Whether a bat is purchased on line or at a local sporting goods store, the bat should feel right and be the correct weight and length for the player.  A great baseball bat will be like a good friend; it will remain with you for years so making the right choice is important.

Baseball Training Equipment

Hi  verybody,
Today we are going to be talking about Baseball Training Equipment, and why the right equipment is essential in improving you’re “A Game” in becoming an “All Star” player.  I’d like to share something with you now; it doesn’t exactly pertain to baseball in itself however, it applies to life which in turn affects our overall well being. So, the last couple of days we have been struggling with computer issues, the computers are just not working to their capability, slowing us down causing frustration etc….  This is a turning effect on our ability to produce at our best.  Point being, the proper equipment whether it is baseball and or work related enables you the prospect in delivering your best.  Without the proper Baseball Training Equipment (or computer in our situation) how are you supposed to perform at your best abilities?  Determining your needs in training, (infielders work on fielding grounders, outfielders work on catching fly balls etc…)  will help you determine the right equipment you need to improve your “A Game”.  And remember the right equipment does make all the difference in the world.  As for us we upgraded to the best computer equipment allowing us the chance to deliver our best too.   ENJOY!!!

Baseball Training Workouts

Today we are going to be talking about Baseball Training Workouts combined with "The Pancake Glove".  The Pancake Glove is a perfect tool for developing good fielding mechanics.  Its shape which represents a pancake is designed to emphasize proper fielding technique along with developing soft hands.  Fielding grounders is a great drill to do with this glove.  Another effective drill is throw 2 consecutive balls after one another to your player, have him/her miss the first one and field the second, this drill focuses on concentration and keeping you eye on the ball.  This can be done with pitching a machine as well, fielding grounders or hitting.  The concept is to keep you eye on the ball-always, weather you are hitting or pitching.  This glove is used by many pro infield instructors. Baseball Team Uniforms

Hi everyone,

Today we are talking about how baseball gets in your life and doesn’t get out.  It’s a game of passionate love.  As I stated in yesterdays blog it gets in your heart and lights you up inside.  Wow, the power of baseball and the love of the game, great stuff.  What makes baseball so distinguished is the team oriented it brings out in players.  Offensively players have an opportunity to shine individually however; when it comes too defensively they work as one.
As much of an individual sport it is, it is also just as much of a team sport, every player on the diamond relying on each other to get the job done.  No one man can do it themselves, the power of a team.  That’s what makes it so great while most Baseball team uniforms have the players’ last name along with his/her number on the back of the jersey some teams choose just to have individual numbers on the sleeves with no names displayed on the baseball team uniforms, supporting the team and not one individual player.  It's up to the team to make the decision.  So next time you are at a baseball game take note as to what the teams wearing, chances are you will be impressed with what you see, a group of boys/men looking like a real TEAM.  ENJOY

Youth Baseball Apparel

COACHES CORNER
Today we honor all the coaches who volunteer their time season after season in managing youth baseball.   I can assure you coaching is an art, not only do they have a love for the game, they also implement game plan strategies, develop fundamental skills by teaching the game of baseball the way it should be played and most importantly they act as role models in developing character and confidence in their players.  Baseball is a game of passion, it gets in you heart and lights you up inside.  It’s emotional: the crack of the bat, the smell the leather to a broken in glove, the thrill of watching a youth player turn a double play looking like a pro, and the experience of their first home run. PRICELESS!!!  With that said let’s celebrate the sport the traditional way: baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and the classic baseball raglan shirt made in the USA.  Prepare for spring season by purchasing your youth baseball apparel today at ready4baseball.com.  And to all the coaches out there thank you for taking care of our children…  ENJOY
